It is with great sadness that we announce the loss of Kevin Sutter who passed away on May 20th at the age of 67.
Kevin was a lifelong music fan and enjoyed sports, movies, cycling and exploring the great outdoors in the Seattle, WA area.
Originally from New York, Kevin spent over 45 years working in the music business.
He started his career in 1976 at the age of 21 with CBS Records working as an inventory clerk. I’m 1978 he was promoted to the position of Local Promotion Manager for Epic Records based in Buffalo NY.
He went on to work in the promotion departments at IRS Records where he was the first East Coast Director of Sales based in NYC, before joining Chrysalis Records in their Album Promotion Department.
He went on to head up RCA Records Album radio department from 1989 to 1991. Then Atlantic Records hired him to be part of their management team to launch their new label East West Records.
In 1992 he helped launch Independent promotion firm M3 Music Marketing with Jim McKeon.
In 2000 he opened Triple A independent promotion/marketing company Tazmoe Music, where he promoted and consulted the careers of dozens of artists until his retirement in 2021.
